With reduced import tariffs, this drive towards globalization is further enhanced. LIGHT EXPO AFRICA will serve as a window for you to meet high-level buyers within the industry in Africa. As an exhibitor, the exhibition provides opportunities for investment returns and establishing new connections in one of Africa's fastest-growing economies.

Market Background

Kenya is one of the two key points of China's Belt and Road Initiative in Africa and will become an important hub for China in Africa, radiating throughout East Africa. Under the impetus of the Belt and Road Initiative, China has actively participated in African infrastructure construction, receiving positive evaluations from African stakeholders. Currently, the urban population in Africa stands at 472 million, with an additional 187 million expected by 2025. However, industrial and commercial infrastructure in African cities has not kept pace with population growth.

This indicates significant potential for investment in infrastructure, residential, and commercial sectors in Africa. The middle class in Africa has rapidly increased, growing by 230% over the past decade to 313 million people. The development of the middle class means that Africa's consumption potential will continue to grow, making it an indispensable future market. Kenya has the highest proportion of middle-class individuals, reaching 44.9%.

Currently, the Kenyan government warmly welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and conduct business in Kenya. The exchange rate is stable, with no foreign exchange controls, allowing foreign companies to freely transfer profits in and out. Kenya enjoys geographical advantages, with strong port influence on neighboring countries. Many merchants from Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, and other countries purchase goods through Kenya. Low investment costs make Kenya an attractive destination for Chinese enterprises.
