Low-voltage LED strip lights refer to the ones that operate at minimum voltage rates. Usually, DC12V and DC24V LED strips are known as low-voltage LED strips. Different Cutting Lengths

When cutting low-voltage LED strips, look for the cut marks on the surface. Low-voltage strips have scissor symbols at regular intervals, indicating where they can be cut. The cutting length depends on the strip’s operating voltage. For example:

24V strips can be cut every 6 LEDs, with each segment typically measuring 10 cm.
12V strips can be cut every 3 LEDs, with each segment around 5 cm.

For high-voltage LED strips, the cutting intervals are usually 1 meter or even 2 meters. Importantly, never cut the strip in the middle of a segment—always cut at the marked points (whole meters only). Otherwise, the entire strip won’t light up. What if you only need 2.5 meters of strip? Cut a 3-meter section, then fold or tape the extra half meter back. Use black tape to cover it and prevent light leakage, avoiding uneven brightness.
